Shakespeare’s room

On this occasion I stood in a room where a freshen up revealed Elizabethan murals in a room William Shakespeare very probably frequented. Unexpectedly tucked behind a room of one-armed bandit gambling machines above a ‘bookie’ on Cornmarket.

Don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to discover a hidden Oxford.

Oxford Guild Guides can take you to special places in Oxford. However on this September weekend the door to history and beauty in Oxford opens a chink more, and visitors are welcomed to chapels, libraries, gardens, colleges, libraries and much more not usually open to the public.

We have the Oxford Preservation Society to thank for this fabulous event.
